Acute type A aortic dissection following TAVI
Aims: Acute or very early type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is a rare but severe complication requiring emergent cardiac surgery in majority of cases. Beyond reports analyzing the incidence of ATAAD in large registries, there is only scarce data illuminating this complication.

ABSTRACT Human atrial chambers derive from distinct embryonic anlagens, the original embryonic atria gradually transforming into the so‐called auricles, or atrial appendages. This study quantifies macroscopic variations in pectinate muscle architecture in human atrial appendages and evaluates their visualization using clinical imaging modalities.

ABSTRACT A 64‑year‑old man with a Non–ST‑elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) underwent coronary angiography, which revealed single‑vessel disease with a high‑grade proximal and a severely calcified mid‑LAD lesion just proximal to a diagonal branch (DB). Both the LAD and the DB were wired.

IRAD experience on surgical type A acute dissection patients : Results and predictors of mortality [PDF]
Type A acute aortic dissection (TAAD) is a disease that has a catastrophic impact on a patient's life and emergent surgery represents a key goal of early treatment.

ABSTRACT The identification of the “culprit lesion” in acute coronary syndromes (ACS) traditionally relies on coronary angiography, assuming that the most severe stenosis, abrupt occlusion, or largest filling defect marks the site of plaque destabilization.

Acute Type A Aortic Dissection Repair
This video demonstrates the steps of an acute type A aortic dissection repair. The authors used a stented E-vita graft to replace the descending aorta and the arch. An aortic homograft was used to replace the aortic root and valve. This video was produced

ABSTRACT Background RFR has shown good aggregate agreement with FFR, including in prior Asian cohorts using intracoronary nicorandil. Where RFR‐FFR disagreement is concentrated relative to the FFR 0.80 decision boundary, and how the two binary thresholds correspond, remain incompletely characterized. Methods In a prospective single‐center registry, 300
