A Simple Simulational Algorithm for Generating Progressive Type-II Censored Samples

American Statistician, 1995
Abstract We establish an independence result concerning a progressive Type-II censored sample from the uniform distribution. This result is used to present a simple and efficient simulational algorithm for generating a progressive Type-II censored sample from any continuous distribution.

Inference of stress-strength for the Type-II generalized logistic distribution under progressively Type-II censored samples

Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 2017
This article studies the estimation of the reliability R = P[Y < X] when X and Y come from two independent generalized logistic distributions of Type-II with different parameters, based on progress...

Estimating reliability parameters for inverse Gaussian distributions under complete and progressively type-II censored samples

Quality Technology & Quantitative Management, 2022
In this paper, we study estimation of stress-strength reliability, assuming the stress and strength variables are inverse Gaussian distributed with unknown parameters.

Inference Based on Type II Censored Samples

Biometrics, 1986
A method for drawing inferences about the mean of a normal population from small censored samples is discussed. The modified standardized statistic presented takes into account the correlation between the estimates of the mean and standard deviation and thus gives asymmetrical confidence intervals in contrast to the common standardized variate.
