Two sample adaptive rank tests under type II censoring

Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, 1986
The two sample testing problem of randomness against general 'stochastically larger alternatives' for censored data is considered. The optimal nonparametric score function is identified and consistently estimated by some generalized kernel estimator based on the rank data.

On Bayes predictor of times to failure of Type-II progressively censored sample

Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 2014
The purpose of this paper is Bayesian prediction, robust Bayesian prediction and two-sided predictive interval for both one-sample and two-sample prediction problems. In one-sample prediction problem, we discuss the prediction of the life-lengths Yj:ri (j=1, 2, … , ri; i=1, 2, … , m) of all censored units in all m stages of censoring, where Yj:ri ...

Parameter Estimation for a Modified Weibull Distribution, for Progressively Type-II Censored Samples

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 2005
In this paper, the estimation of parameters based on a progressively Type-II censored sample from a modified Weibull distribution is studied. The likelihood equations, and the maximum likelihood estimators are derived. The estimators based on a least-squares fit of a multiple linear regression on a Weibull probability paper plot are compared with the ...

Reliability Analysis for the Pareto Model Based on the Progressive Type II Censored Sample

2011
In this article, maximum likelihood and Bayesian estimators for the shape parameter, reliability, and failure rate functions of the Pareto distribution are derived based on progressive Type II censored samples. We obtained Bayesian estimators under the quadratic and LINEX loss function, when choosing the conjugate prior distribution for the unknown ...

On goodness of fit tests based on spacings for type ii censored samples

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 1982
A class of tests based on spacings is obtained for milticensored samples. Their asymptotic null as well as alternative distributions are obtained.

A Pareto II Model With Inliers at Zero and One Based on TYPE-II Censored Samples

2018
Inliers (instantaneous or early failures) are natural occurrences of a life test, where some of the items fail immediately or within a short time of the life test due to mechanical failure, inferior quality or faulty construction of items and components.
