ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Redescription of Baijal’s Entomobrya species from Indian Himalayan Region (Collembola, Entomobryidae)

open access: yesSoil Organisms, 2013
During preparation of ‘Capbryinae & Entomobryini’ (Jordana 2012) for the series Synopses on Palaearctic Collembola (Volume 7, Part 1), many specimens were studied from museums within and outside the study area.

Effect of Cross-Linking on the Electrical Properties of LDPE and its Lightning Impulse Ageing Characteristics

open access: yes, 2011
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is commonly used within high voltage cable insulation. It has improved thermal and mechanical resistance compared to normal low density polyethylene (LDPE).

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Cumene cracking on modified mesoporous material type MCM-41

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2006
The effect of ionic exchange degree of aluminated mesoporous materials H(X)-AlMCM-41 materials, the method of its exchange mode and its grains form were investigated for the mesoporous catalytic activity in the cumene (i.e.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
