ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Apatite is a widespread U-bearing mineral in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. U-Pb geochronology of apatite can provide significant information for constraining magmatic evolution processes and tracing provenance.

Correlated errors in U-Pb geochronology.
Formulae are derived for the correlation of errors in the most used lead-lead and uranium-lead diagrams. It is emphasized that with the usual measurement schemes, error correlation is high in the conventional diagrams. An inverse lead-lead diagram is described in which, by proper choice of the measurement scheme, there is no correlation between errors.

U–Pb dating and Sm–Nd isotopic analysis of granitic rocks from the Tiris Complex : new constaints on key events in the evolution of the Reguibat Shield, Mauritania [PDF]
The Reguibat Shield of N Mauritania and W Algeria represents the northern exposure of the West African Craton. As with its counterpart in equatorial West Africa, the Leo Shield, it comprises a western Archaean Domain and an eastern Palaeoproterozoic ...

Paleoproterozoic post-orogenic magmatism in southern Finland; geochemical, geochronological and Sr-Nd isotopic constraints on origin and magmatic evolution [PDF]
Fifteen post-orogenic, basic to acidic High-Barium-Strontium (HiBaSr) intrusions of shoshonitic affinity have been recognized in central and southern Finland.

U-Th-Pb isotopic systematics of lherzolitic shergottite Yamato-793605 [PDF]
We have undertaken U-Th-Pb isotopic studies on lherzolitic shergottite, Yamato-793605. Four mineral separates (olivine, plagioclase, and two phases of pyroxene) and a whole-rock sample were leached with dilute acid in order to remove secondary Pb ...
