U-Pb zircon age of the youngest magmatic activity in the High Tatra granites Central Western Carpathians [PDF]
Detailed cathodoluminescence (CL) imaging of zircon crystals, coupled with Laser Abla-tion Multi-Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-MC-ICP-MS) U-Pb zircon dating was used to develop new insights into the evolution of granitoids ...

Allanite U–Pb step-leaching ages of metapelites in the Imjingang belt, central Korea
Background Allanite is a LREE-rich epidote-group mineral, and a potential chronometer for the greenschist-facies metamorphism. However, owing to the metamict nature of allanite, it is extremely difficult to secure sufficient amounts of mineral separates ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

U-Pb zircon age of the pegmatoid of the Muong Lat complex
Muong Lat granitoid complex located in Thanh Hoa province. It is composed of two mica granite, aplite and pegmatoid. Rock forming minerals include mainly K-feldspar, quartz biotite and muscovite. Crystallization age of pegmatite in Muong Lat body is determined by U-Pb zircon LA-ICP-MS method.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
