Uranium incorporation in fluorite and exploration of U–Pb dating [PDF]
The age of ore deposits constitutes a decisive element in understanding their formation. Deciphering their precise chronology may be a challenge in the absence of mineral phases that can be dated by conventional geochronometers.

Hematite U-Pb dating of Snowball Earth meltwater events. [PDF]
The Snowball Earth hypothesis predicts global ice cover; however, previous descriptions of Cryogenian (720-635 Ma) glacial deposits are limited to continental margins and shallow marine basins. The Tavakaiv (Tava) sandstone injectites and ridges in Colorado, USA, preserve a rare terrestrial record of Cryogenian low-latitude glaciation.

U-Pb dating for zircons from granitic rocks in southwestern Cambodia. [PDF]
U-Pb dating was conducted for zircons from a total of 14 samples from 13 granite bodies in southwestern Cambodia using LA-ICP-MS. The granitic rock samples were collected from southwestern Cambodia, southwest of the Mae Ping Fault extending from northwest Cambodia via Tonle Sap Lake to southern Vietnam.

NanoSIMS and EPMA dating of lunar zirconolite
Zirconolite is a common Zr-rich accessary mineral in mafic rocks. It is also an ideal U–Pb/Pb–Pb chronometer because it commonly contains high U content (mostly 0.1–10 wt%) and negligible initial Pb.

Tectonic history of the South Tannuol Fault Zone (Tuva region of the northern Central Asian Orogenic Belt, Russia) : constraints from multi-method geochronology [PDF]
In this study, we present zircon U/Pb, plagioclase and K-feldspar Ar-40/Ar-39 and apatite fission track (AFT) data along the South Tannuol Fault Zone (STFZ).

In situ U-Pb Isotope Dating Techniques for Sandstone-type Uranium Deposits
BACKGROUND Uranium mineral dating has been difficult to ascertain in mineralization chronology. With the development of in situ U-Pb isotope dating technology, it is possible to directly date ore minerals (uranium minerals).

Technical note: LA–ICP-MS U–Pb dating of unetched and etched apatites [PDF]
The same unetched and chemically etched apatite crystals from five rock samples were dated by the U–Pb method via laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA–ICP-MS).

BACKGROUND The Changjiang uranium ore field in the southern margin of the Zhuguangshan complex pluton is a typical granite-type uranium ore field in China. Zircon U-Pb dating has been used to date ore-bearing granites. However, due to the high content of
