Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Flavored resonant leptogenesis in the U(1)X model
We study the generation of baryon asymmetry through the flavored resonant leptogenesis in the U(1)X extension of the Standard Model. Being a generalization of the U(1)B-L, U(1)X is an ultraviolet-complete model of the right-handed neutrinos (RHNs), whose

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Double-dual types over the Banach space C(K)
Let K be a compact Hausdorff space and C(K) the Banach space of all real-valued continuous functions on K, with the sup-norm. Types over C(K) (in the sense of Krivine and Maurey) can be uniquely represented by pairs (ℓ,u) of bounded real-valued functions

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

U-space TWICS: A meta U-space service concept to aid developing communications between autonomous uncrewed systems [PDF]
U-space is a regulatory concept for an upcoming air space targeted towards unmanned aerial systems (UAS). It requires an automatic communication of operators with mandatory services in a centralized structure. However, communication directly between UAS also needs to be anticipated.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
