Abstract We present new vector paleomagnetic data from 13 radiometrically dated lava‐flows in southern La Palma (Canary Islands) spanning from 1 to 56 ka, which covers most of the Late Pleistocene to prehistoric Holocene volcanic record in the island.

The reactions of the common palladium precursors Pd(OAc)2 and PdCl2 and cooperating bipyridone ligands leads to well defined complexes which are general precatalysts for the direct C─H arylation of arenes, more active than Pd(OAc)2/ligand mixtures in nonpolar solvents.
