A NOMA-UFMC PRECODED SYSTEM FOR 6G

Azerbaijan Journal of High Performance Computing, 2021
Multi-Carrier Waveform (MCW) modeling and design are envisioned as one of the most important and challenging for the 6th generation (6G) communication networks. In oppose to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) waveforms, new and innovative design techniques for MCWs have been designed and proposed in recent literature because of their ...

An Ease UFMC Transmitter Using IFFT

2019 International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Control Systems (ICCS), 2019
UFMC is a suitable waveform for 5G requirements. It has the ability to overcome the drawbacks of the UFMC, FBMC, GFDM and OFDM techniques .IDFT and filtering part generates the UFMC waveform. This paper discusses about the IDFT part and filtering part. In IDFT part for reducing the hardware complexity and improves the performance of the system.

Review of UFMC Technique in 5G

2018 International Conference on Intelligent Circuits and Systems (ICICS), 2018
This article describes about the spectrum utilization of Universal Filtered Multi Carrier (UFMC). UFMC is a multi-carrier modulation technique in fifth generation network (5G). In this paper, we review the different modulation techniques in 5G technology and motivate the need of UFMC technique in 5G wireless communication.

Comparative analysis of UFMC technology in 5G networks

2017 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON), 2017
The article dwells upon a new promising technology Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC) for future 5G mobile networks. The technology is compared with OFDM technology used in 4G networks, and its effectiveness is analyzed. A disadvantage of OFDM technology is a necessity to use a cyclic prefix, which reduces data transmission rate.

Resource block management for uplink UFMC systems

2016 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2016
Filter-bank based multi-carrier systems have recently attracted lots of interest as a promising approach for the next generation wireless communication systems. Due to high complexity and long symbol duration, however, these systems need to evolve in a new multi-carrier technique, universal-filtered multi-carrier (UFMC). In conventional UFMC systems, a

Higher Order QAM Schemes in 5G UFMC system

2020 International Conference on Emerging Smart Computing and Informatics (ESCI), 2020
To meet the prerequisites and parameters in 5G, the existed Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation technique is not enough. So, an alternate technology called Universal Filtered Multi Carrier (UFMC) technique arisen. It is a 5G modulation technique.

Overlay Cognitive Radio Based on UFMC System

2019 6th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE), 2019
In this paper, we consider an overlay cognitive radio (CR) consisting of a primary macro-cell and cognitive small cells of cooperative secondary base stations (SBS). We suggest studying a CR where an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is used for the primary users (PU) whereas the secondary users (SU) are based on universal filtered ...

Filter Design for Universal Filtered Multicarrier (UFMC) based Systems

2019 4th International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks (ISCON), 2019
The universal filtered Multi-carrier (UFMC) is the most considerable modulation scheme for next generation wireless networks. The UFMC based system output is highly dependent on the sub-band filter response that used at transmitter end, which influences the emission of sub-band into the adjacent sub-bands and hence inter-carrier interference (ICI) and ...

A Novel Pilot Superimposition Method for UFMC Systems

Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Telecommunications and Communication Engineering, 2018
In this letter, a novel pilot superimposition method is proposed for universal filtered multi-carrier (UFMC) systems to sounding channel. The pilot signals are superimposed onto some special positions in the filter ramps to make sure that the interferences between data and pilot signals are kept relatively low. Simulation results show that the proposed
