Output Feedback Design for Parameter Varying Systems Subject to Persistent Disturbances and Control Rate Constraints

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 7, Page 4219-4233, 10 May 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper develops a framework for designing output feedback controllers for constrained linear parameter‐varying systems that experience persistent disturbances. We specifically propose an incremental parameter‐varying output feedback control law to address control rate constraints, as well as state and control amplitude constraints.

INFLUÊNCIA DE ECTOMICORRIZAS NO CRESCIMENTO DE MUDAS DE Eucalyptus grandis, Corymbia citriodora, Eucalyptus saligna E Eucalyptus dunnii

open access: yesCiência Florestal, 2018
The ectomycorrhizal association benefit plants by providing an increase in the area of root absorption and getting more nutrients and water as well as may enable growth of the host soils subjected to adverse conditions. The objective of this study was to

Academic tutorial at UFSC

open access: yes, 2019
The entrance to the university transports the student to a new student context for which he is not always prepared. What to do, when to do, how to do? Often questions / doubts such as these can generate worries for the newcomers (freshmen). In order to contribute to this process of adaptation and university life, there is a subject in the Federal ...

ZnO‐Functionalized Silicon Carbide Ceramic Membranes for Removing Impurities From Biodiesel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ceramic Engineering &Science, Volume 8, Issue 3, May 2026.
Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic membranes functionalized with zinc oxide (ZnO) were assessed for biodiesel purification through crossflow filtration. The ZnO–SiC membranes effectively retained metallic impurities, especially calcium, sodium, and phosphorus, achieving levels that meet biodiesel quality standards.

Research on Complex Data Management and Analysis at UFSC.

open access: yesJ. Inf. Data Manag., 2011
Since the end of the 20th century data have been gathered in an unprecedented and growing scale, by using a variety of devices and information systems, ranging from sensors to the social Web. The resulting heterogeneous collections of unconventional data, particularly complex data (XML, Web data, maps, time series, etc.), cannot be constrained just to ...

Poly(Hydroxybutyrate‐Co‐Hydroxyvalerate)/Thermoplastic Starch Blends for Application in Biodegradable Mulch Films

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, Volume 66, Issue 5, Page 3751-3765, May 2026.
Poly(hydroxybutyrate‐co‐hydroxyvalerate)/thermoplastic starch blends, produced by melt processing, showed improvements in mechanical properties and water vapor transmission barrier performance, which can help control excessive water evaporation from the soil, thus contributing to pH and moisture regulation.
