A novel wide-band airborne UHF antenna
2014 IEEE Workshop on Electronics, Computer and Applications, 2014This paper presents a novel broadband UHF band airborne antenna. The antenna is in the inverted L-shaped antenna to improve from, based on the increased portion of the distributed capacitance and frequency adjustment branch. In about three octave range with a good vertical linear polarization characteristics and Omni directional radiation ...

Bistatic VHF/UHF-band airborne SAR experiment
IET International Conference on Radar Systems (Radar 2012), 2012We present results from a bistatic SAR experiment conducted with two airborne radars operating in the band 222-460 MHz using HH-polarization. The systems used a step-frequency chirp waveform and were synchronized using GPS 1PPS signals. The processed and analysed data were collected during four flight missions over a test site including forested ...

VHF- and UHF-Band Stacked-Junction Circulators
1969 G-MTT International Microwave Symposium, 1969A new type of junction circulators, in which two ordinary ferrite-loaded junctions are stacked and assembled in a common housing, is presented. The input power is divided into two junctions and the C W power rating doubled. The stacked circulator increases the freedom to choose the ferrite size, which must be optimized for a specific power level in ...

Ultra wide band UHF chaotic impulse generator
IVESC 2012, 2012This work presents basic characteristics of UHF chaotic ultra wideband generator, based on TWT. It is shown that in such generator chaotic radio-impulses with 3 GHz continuous wideband and 22.5 W peak power may be produced.

A Wide-Band UHF Logarithmic Amplifier
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1966Logarithmic amplifiers can be made using three basic techniques: nonlinear feedback, nonlinear loads, and successive detection. For very high-frequency, wide-band applications, the successive detection method is the most practical. This paper describes a logarithmic amplifier at UHF frequencies which uses this successive detection method.

Fractal Koch curve for UHF band application
2007 Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics, 2007This paper discussed the implementation of the planar dipole antenna using Koch curve structure at UHF band application. The 2nd iteration of Koch curve is arrange in series to reduced the height of the antenna and the ground plane is optimized during simulation. The simulation and measurement of return loss and radiation pattern have been discussed in

Magnetostatic wave devices for UHF band applications
Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 1985Magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) devices made with pure and gallium-substituted yttrium-iron garnet (Ga:La-YIG) films are described. These devices include nondispersive and dispersive delay lines, band-pass filters, oscillators, and resonators. By controlling the magnitude of the bias magnetic field and the temperature of operation, it is possible to ...

Origami Quadrifilar Helix Antenna in UHF band
2014 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2014Abstract This paper presents an origami Quadrifilar Helix Antenna (QHA) which could work at different operating frequencies in Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band with different heights for optimum realized gain. This antenna is designed to be applied to space wireless communication with little limitations of storage or transportation due to a compact ...

Dual band quadrifilar helix antennas for UHF/VHF band operation
Twelfth International Conference on Antennas and Propagation (ICAP 2003), 2003This paper details antenna design work on quadrifilar helices that can be applied to antennas for small satcom terminals (on boats and vehicles), for GPS applications, and in the space segment for communications monitoring and data down links. During the development of the antennas for the METOP Programme for ESA it was necessary to produce a design of

Dual Band UHF and Microwave RFID Antenna
2008 38th European Microwave Conference, 2008This paper presents a new topology for RFID antenna matched on all UHF and one of the microwave RFIDpsilas band. The antenna can be implemented on different standards of tagpsilas sizes as credit card, 85 times 54 mm, or other common sizes 50 times 50 mm.
