Analysis of mobile antenna in UHF band

Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1987
AbstractTheoretical and experimental studies are made on an antenna mounted on the roof of an automobile. The theoretical model of an automobile body and a calculation technique based on GTD are developed to calculate the input impedance and vertical plane patterns of a quarter‐wavelength monopole in the 300–900 MHz band. The theoretical model consists

An UHF Band RFID Vehicle Management System

2007 International Workshop on Anti-Counterfeiting, Security and Identification (ASID), 2007
A vehicle management system based on UHF band RFID technology is proposed. This system is applied for vehicle entering/leaving at road gates. The system consists of tag-on-car, reader antenna, reader controller, and the monitoring and commanding software.

Using the lower UHF bands for commons & events [PDF]

open access: possible, 2013
An internationally harmonized regulation permitting unlicensed transmission in the lower UHF bands is proposed, e.g. in the 515-605 MHz range. Transmission power levels up to 2 W EIRP are envisioned. This would give citizens a share of the best spectrum for free use.

Low profile wide band VHF/UHF antenna

2014 United States National Committee of URSI National Radio Science Meeting (USNC-URSI NRSM), 2014
Many applications in communications and radar require antennas that conform to the surface of the supporting structure. Whenever applicable, the antenna aperture is approximated by a plane with the requirement that the dimension normal to the aperture (“profile”) be minimized.

Dual band UHF-GPS folded monopole antenna

2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007
In this paper,an integrated dual frequency band antenna operating at UHF and GPS for portable radio is achievable using the coaxial folded type of monopole. This folded monopole antenna has good return loss and provided good gain at UHF and GPS frequency band.

Piezoelectric micromechanical disk resonators towards UHF band

IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium, 2004, 2005
This paper presents the design, simulation, fabrication, and test results of a new type of piezoelectrically transduced micromechanical disk resonator approaching UHF frequencies. The resonators were fabricated from silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafers with a 4-mask low-temperature process.

Broad-Band UHF Distributed Amplifiers Using Band-Pass Filter Techniques

IRE Transactions on Circuit Theory, 1960
Distributed amplifiers have generally been limited to operation in the vhf region and to application of low pass filter techniques. However, it has been recognized that these limitations do not exist in theory. The basic principles of distributed amplification as applied to the uhf band-pass amplifier are described in this paper.

Switchable Filter For UHF Band

2017
The contribution deals with the design of a multi-channel switchable filter for ultra high frequency band. The device is primarily designed for the system of sensors which are used for detection of the electromagnetic pulses. They are emitted by the partial discharges in power transformers as a consequence of aging of the dielectric.

UHF and X-Band Class-E amplifiers

1999
A Class-E amplifier consists of a single transistor which is driven as a switch and a passive output load network. The output load network is a tuned resonant circuit and is designed to minimize the voltage and current waveforms overlapping, thus minimize the power dissipation in the transistor.
