Improved bendability characterization of UHSS sheets
Abstract Bendability characterization of UHSS sheets is often limited by punch-sheet-liftoff during standardized bending tests. This phenomenon is characterized by a smaller radius on the bent sheet than the desired tool radius and might lead to a misinterpretation of the admissible bending radii from such tests.

Multiobjective Optimization for Forming Process Parameters of Ultrahigh Strength Steel BR1500HS
This paper focuses on obtaining the optimum process parameters and improving the mechanical properties of ultrahigh strength steel BR1500S. Many experimental data are obtained, and then response surface methodology (RSM) is used to obtain the optimum parameters. Combining the experimental data with RSM, some conclusions are summarized. When the cooling

Zinc-coated ultra-high-strength steel (UHSS) sheets are highly susceptible to liquid metal embrittlement (LME) during resistance spot welding. However, systematic understanding on LME cracks in the pullout fracture of UHSS welds is still lacking.

Mechanical Properties of Laser Heat Treated 6 mm Thick UHSS-Steel [PDF]
In this work abrasion resistant (AR) steel with a sheet thickness of 6 mm was heat treated by a 4 kW Nd:YAG and a 4 kW Yb:Yag-laser, followed by self-quenching. In the delivered condition, test material blank (B27S) is water quenched from 920 deg. C. In this condition, fully martensitic microstructure provides excellent hardness of over 500 HB.

The Study of Roll-forming Technology for UHSS Hydroformed Parts
In the automotive industry, it is required to reduce weight of the car and improve fuel efficiency. Competitive pricing is also a very important issue. That`s why application of welded steel tube is increasing in order to produce a vehicle with a competitive price. Also, hydroforming technology is asking more and more for thinner tubing to realize to a
