A joint real-time SOC estimation method for energy storage batteries
Accurately estimating the state of charge (SOC) of energy storage batteries is of paramount importance for achieving balanced charging and discharging, and mitigating capacity degradation caused by overcharging and overdischarging. In view of the complex

Modified state prediction algorithm based on UKF
The state prediction based on the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) for nonlinear stochastic discrete-time systems with linear measurement equation is investigated. Predicting future states by using the information of available measurements is an effective method to solve time delay problems.

Accurate State of Charge Estimation in Lithium‐Ion Batteries by Second‐Order Sliding Mode Observer
A finite‐time second‐order sliding mode observer (SO‐SMO) is proposed for accurate and robust state‐of‐charge estimation in lithium‐ion batteries, achieving fast convergence, chattering elimination, and superior estimation accuracy compared to conventional methods, making it ideal for real‐time battery management applications in electric and hybrid ...

Poetry as the Winged Horse (On the Interpretation of Time in Smrek’s Poetry [PDF]
This contribution is based on relations and similarities between Smrek’s lyrical poetry and Bergsonian vitalism and dynamism. On the basis of the analysis of the motif of horse in Smrek’s poetry the author comes to conclusion that Smrek, using the same ...

Algorithm of BPNN‐UKF based on a fusion model for SOC estimation in lithium‐ion batteries
Lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) are widely used as energy storage devices. Accurately estimating the state of charge (SOC) is critical for the safe operation of LIBs, but the complex internal characteristics of LIBs make this a difficult task. In this study,

Statistical Inference in the Duffing System with the Unscented Kalman Filter [PDF]
We investigate the accuracy of inference in a chaotic dynamical sys- tem (Duffing oscillator) with the Unscented Kalman Filter, and quantify the dependence on the sample size, the signal to noise ratio and the ...

Dominant deer mice show the importance of abundance in competition
Abstract Detecting competitive interactions is important for predicting species responses to environmental change but remains challenging, especially over large scales. Modern coexistence theory predicts that reduced ecological trait overlap promotes coexistence through stabilizing mechanisms, while fitness differences generate competitive asymmetries.

Unscented Kalman Filters for Riemannian State-Space Systems
Unscented Kalman Filters (UKFs) have become popular in the research community. Most UKFs work only with Euclidean systems, but in many scenarios it is advantageous to consider systems with state-variables taking values on Riemannian manifolds.

Research on Collaborative Estimation of SOC and SOH for Lithium‐Ion Batteries Based on BS‐SRCKF‐DEKF
This paper presents a novel method for jointly estimating the state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) in lithium‐ion battery systems. A second‐order hysteresis RC model and the BS‐SRCKF‐DEKF algorithm are used to improve estimation accuracy. Simulation and experimental results verify the method′s robustness and superior performance.
