The image of the lily in Ukrainian literature: from the Baroque to Modernism

The study analyzes the transformation of the symbolic meaning of the image of the lily in Ukrainian literature from the Baroque period to Modernism. It is established that within mythopoetic worldview a binary symbolic coding of the lily was formed (purity and innocence / sexuality and sensual beauty).
