Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Indoor localization using augmented ultra-high-frequency radio frequency identification system for Internet of Things

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2017
This article addresses the problem of indoor localization with an augmented ultra-high-frequency radio frequency identification system. In the infrastructure of augmented ultra-high-frequency radio frequency identification system, a tag-like component ...

Microwave Optical Link In The Frequency Range Of 10-18 Gigahertz By Direct Modulation Of Injection Laser Diode [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
It is demonstrated that an ultra-high speed window buried heterostructure GaAlAs laser fabricated on semi-insulating substrate can be used as narrow band signal transmitters in the Ku-band frequency range (12-20GHz).

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

Structure optimization of connection frames based on frequency sensitivity in macro-micro motion platforms

open access: yesNanotechnology and Precision Engineering, 2019
High-performance connection frames are of great significance for ultra-high acceleration and ultra-precision positioning in macro-micro motion platforms. This paper first takes the connection frame as a research object, builds a finite element model (FEM)

Estimating the efficient price from the order flow: a Brownian Cox process approach

open access: yes, 2013
At the ultra high frequency level, the notion of price of an asset is very ambiguous. Indeed, many different prices can be defined (last traded price, best bid price, mid price,...).

Risk Prediction Models for Recurrence After Curative Treatment of Early‐Stage or Locally Advanced Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Frequency-Bin Entanglement of Ultra-Narrow Band Non-Degenerate Photon Pairs

open access: yes, 2017
We demonstrate frequency-bin entanglement between ultra-narrowband photons generated by cavity enhanced spontaneous parametric down conversion. Our source generates photon pairs in widely non-degenerate discrete frequency modes, with one photon resonant ...

Age‐Related Characteristics of SYT1‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives We describe the clinical manifestations and developmental abilities of individuals with SYT1‐associated neurodevelopmental disorder (Baker‐Gordon syndrome) from infancy to adulthood. We further describe the neuroradiological and electrophysiological characteristics of the condition at different ages, and explore the associations ...

Tecnologia radio cognitiva en la banda ultra high frequency (UHF)

open access: yesTecnura, 2014
Mobile cellular communication companies in Colombia require more spectrum resources to expand their portfolio of services. However, additional frequency bands for that particular purpose are scarce, yet it is well known that there are many underutilized ...
