Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Investigation of laser assisted ultra-high frequency induction deposition method: Processes, fluid flow, and microstructure characteristic

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
In this study, a laser assisted ultra-high frequency (UHF) induction deposition method is proposed. The proposed method uses UHF induction heat as the main heat source to melt the deposited metal.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Ultra high frequency volatility estimation with dependent microstructure noise [PDF]

open access: yes
We analyze the impact of time series dependence in market microstructure noise on the properties of estimators of the integrated volatility of an asset price based on data sampled at frequencies high enough for that noise to be a dominant consideration ...

Investigation of sensitivity of the ultra‐high frequency partial‐discharge detection technology for micro‐crack in epoxy insulator in GIS

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2020
The ultra-high frequency (UHF) method has been widely used in a gas-insulated system (GIS) for partial-discharge detection, and many achievements have been realised.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Field Applications of Ultra High Frequency Techniques for Defect Detection in GIS

open access: yesSensors, 2018
The reliable and stable operation of power apparatus is important for the development of GIS. It is important to utilize condition monitoring technologies and anticipate possible failures in advance.
