Commercial vascular grafts are made from ePTFE, a highly hydrophobic, foreign material that fails at a high rate in small‐diameter applications. Plasma polymer nanoparticles (PPN) are a versatile material functionalisation tool, used here to present fibrillin‐1 fragment PF8 on the graft surface.

A soft, stretchable, anti‐biofouling encapsulant is developed by integrating organosilicon nanowire networks with microstructured biodegradable elastomers. The hierarchical surface exhibits superhydrophobicity and enhances water barrier properties by 420% over pristine polymers, while preserving mechanical integrity.

The Ultra-High Risk Concept—A Review [PDF]
Attempts to identify people at imminent risk of psychotic disorder have been made during the past 20 years. High-risk criteria have been developed, and despite findings of a recent decline in the rate of onset of psychosis associated with these criteria, people identified still have a significantly greater risk, compared with the general population ...

Locus of Control behavior in ultra-high risk patients.
Rivista di psichiatria, 2022The term "Locus of Control" has been defined by Rotter (1954) as a general attitude regarding the nature of the causal relationship between one's behavior and its consequences. Classifying ultra-high risk smoldering myeloma
Leukemia, 2014Multiple myeloma (MM) always evolves from a precursor state, either monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance or smoldering MM (SMM).1, 2 These precursor states are defined by the absence of MM-related organ damage (‘CRAB’ features: hypercalcemia, renal failure, anemia and bone disease).3 SMM has a highly variable clinical behavior, where some
