Design of Ultra Low Temperature Pressure and Temperature Sensor Structure

open access: yesApplied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
In order to measure the pressure in the ultra-low temperature condition, the structure of ultra-low temperature piezoresistive pressure sensor is designed. Polysilicon nanometer thin film is used as a varistor according to its temperature and piezoresistive characteristics.

Fast crystal growth at ultra-low temperatures

Nature Materials, 2021
It is believed that the slow liquid diffusion and geometric frustration brought by a rapid, deep quench inhibit fast crystallization and promote vitrification. Here we report fast crystal growth in charged colloidal systems under deep supercooling, where liquid diffusion is extremely low.

An Ultra‐Low‐Temperature Alternating Current Filter

Small, 2023
AbstractTraditional alternating current filter based on aluminum electrolytic capacitors (AECs) suffer from abrupt drop of filtering capability at ultra‐low temperatures (≤−30 °C), which greatly hinders the reliable working of electronics at extremely cold conditions.

Ultra-low temperature MAS-DNP

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2016
Since the infancy of NMR spectroscopy, sensitivity and resolution have been the limiting factors of the technique. Regular essential developments on this front have led to the widely applicable, versatile, and powerful spectroscopy that we know today.

Ultra-low power CMOS cells for temperature sensors

Proceedings of the 18th annual symposium on Integrated circuits and system design - SBCCI '05, 2005
Temperature sensors and voltage references require cells that generate both PTAT (Proportional To Absolute Temperature) and NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) voltages. We present a novel theoretical approach based on a 'quasi-constant' current to obtain these voltages in standard CMOS technology using no resistors. A test circuit was fabricated in

Optical interferometry at ultra low temperatures

Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1995
We have developed optical, interferometric methods for investigations of interfaces at ultra low temperatures. In our scheme conventional optical windows are avoided: laser illumination (He-Ne) is guided into the cryostat via a single-mode optical fiber and images are taken using a CCD sensor mounted inside the 4-K vacuum can.
