Thermodynamics of Quantum Ultra-cold Neutron Gas under Gravity of The Earth
The stored ultra-cold neutrons have been developed. A high density ultra-cold neutron gas has been recently produced by using the nuclear spallation method.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Paramagnetic Reentrance Effect in NS Proximity Cylinders
A scenario for the unusual paramagnetic reentrance behavior at ultra-low temperatures in Nb-Ag, Nb-Au, and Nb-Cu cylinders is presented. For the diamagnetic response down to temperatures of the order 15 mK, the standard theory (quasi-classical ...

Unifying the low-temperature photoluminescence spectra of carbon nanotubes: the role of acoustic phonon confinement [PDF]
At low temperature the photoluminescence of single-wall carbon nanotubes show a large variety of spectral profiles ranging from ultra narrow lines in suspended nanotubes to broad and asymmetrical line-shapes that puzzle the current interpretation in ...

Ultra-low power temperature sensor
We propose an architecture and circuit for temperature sensors integrated within systems on a chip. The circuit is based on special properties of devices when biased by a current with a particular dependence with temperature. We present results from a test circuit fabricated on a standard 0:8 ¹m CMOS technology which draws under 40 nA from a 1.6 V to 3.

Ultra-low temperature silicon nitride photonic integration platform
High-quality SiNx films with controllable low stress and low optical loss are deposited at ultra-low temperature (75 °C) using inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition (ICP-CVD). Two kinds of integrated photonic structures have been demonstrated that exemplify its viability as a photonic integration platform.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Low-temperature illumination and annealing of ultra-high quality quantum wells
The effects of low temperature illumination and annealing on fractional quantum Hall (FQH) characteristics of a GaAs/AlGaAs quantum well are investigated. Illumination alone, below 1 K, decreases the density of the 2DEG electrons by more than an order of

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
