Design and Implementation of Wideband Exciter for an Ultra-high Resolution Airborne SAR System
According to an ultra-high resolution airborne SAR system with better than 0.1 m resolution, a wideband Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM) pulse compression exciter with 14.8 GHz carrier and 3.2 GHz bandwidth is designed and implemented.

Laboratory Experiments on 5G Cellular Technologies - A Case Study on the Synergy of Research and Experiential Learning [PDF]
Teaching and research complement each other. This is an advice often given to young professors, to encourage them to find synergy between research and teaching, i.e., to let research aid teaching, and vice-versa.

A Fully Differential Digital CMOS Pulse UWB Generator [PDF]
A new fully-digital CMOS pulse generator for impulse-radio Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) systems is presented. First, the shape of the pulse which best fits the FCC regulation in the 3.1-5 GHz sub-band of the entire 3.1-10.6 GHz UWB bandwidth is derived and ...

Iterative Synchronization of Multiuser Ultra-Wideband Signals
In this paper, two novel iterative chip-level synchronization methods, one blind and the other data-aided, are proposed for chip-interleaved time-hopping (TH) ultra-wideband signals that are subject to intersymbol interference (ISI) and multiple access interference (MAI).

Implementation Aspects of a Transmitted-Reference UWB Receiver [PDF]
In this paper, we discuss the design issues of an ultra wide band (UWB) receiver targeting a single-chip CMOS implementation for low data-rate applications like ad hoc wireless sensor networks. A non-coherent transmitted reference (TR) receiver is chosen
