Physics-Based Pulse Distortion for Ultra-Wideband Signals
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2005Pulse distortion is difficult to model by the state of the art statistical measurements. In this paper, we propose a physics-based deterministic model for urban environments consisting of high rise buildings. We first derive the channel impulse response of the renowned Wolfisch-Bertoni model in closed form.

Frequency domain processing of ultra-wideband signals
The Thrity-Seventh Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems & Computers, 2003, 2004The central challenge of ultra-wideband (UWB) radio is to overcome its intrinsic complexity. This paper argues for the use of high-speed sampling and a front-end FFT as the paradigm of choice for robust performance and low energy consumption in certain ultra-wideband designs.

Radiation of Ultra-Wideband Signals by Pulse Antenna
2006 3rd International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals, 2006A complex approach to computer-aided design of the broadband pulse antenna for UWB WPAN communication system is presented in the paper. Investigation of the time- and frequency-domain characteristics of the antenna, ultra-wideband signals and properties of the radiated field are described.

Ultra Wideband Signal Propagation in Desktop Environments
IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2005Short-range propagation measurements were carried out using ultra wideband (UWB) and continuous wave (CW) signals on a rectangular aluminum conductive plate, simulating typical office desks, with and without a low vertical metal partition panels. The frequency of the UWB signal spanned from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz and that of the CW signal was 6.85 GHz.
