Protein aggregation in C-phycocyanin. Studies at very low concentrations with the photoelectric scanner of the ultracentrifuge.

open access: yesBiochemical Journal, 1971
Solutions of C-phycocyanin of very low concentrations were examined by sedimentation-velocity studies in the Spinco model E ultracentrifuge equipped with a photoelectric scanning system and a monochromator.

Muscle‐Derived Small Extracellular Vesicles Mediate Exercise‐Induced Cognitive Protection in Chronic Cerebral Hypoperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
sEVs have a critical role in orchestrating interorgan crosstalk and mediating exercise‐induced therapeutic effects. Lin et al. demonstrates that sEVs miR‐17/20a‐5p mediates the muscle‐brain crosstalk and emphasizes the central role of mTOR signaling in executing molecular programs that can protect brain health in response to exercise. Abstract Physical

The effect of sex on the quantity and properties of the very low density lipoprotein secreted by the liver in vitro

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1976
Livers from normally fed male and female rats were perfused in vitro with different amounts of oleate, and the production and properties of the very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) were studied.

The ultrastructure of C1t, a subcomponent of the first component of complement: an E.M. and ultracentrifuge study.

open access: yesJournal of Immunology, 1976
C1t is a 9.5 S alpha1 glycoprotein that has been shown to be a fourth subcomponent of the first component of complement. The m.w. of C1t was found to be 233,000 by sedimentation equilibrium in the ultracentrifuge. A subunit m.w. of 23,000 was obtained by

Tumor‐Associated Sympathetic Nerves Promote the Progression of Epstein‐Barr Virus‐Positive Diffuse Large B‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sympathetic nerve innervation promotes the progression of Epstein‐Barr virus‐positive diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (EBV+ DLBCL) via β2‐adrenergic receptors. The discovery of enhanced nerve infiltration and β2AR expression reveals a novel mechanism and highlights the sympathetic–β2AR axis as a promising target for therapeutic intervention in EBV+ DLBCL.

Size and lipid composition of chylomicrons of different Svedberg units of flotation

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1970
Chylomicrons from thoracic duct lymph of rabbits which were fed corn oil were separated in a preparative ultracentrifuge into subfractions of different S(f) values in order to compare their size, as determined by electron microscopy, with that expected ...

Rapid on-line determination of cholesterol distribution among plasma lipoproteins after high-performance gel filtration chromatography

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1991
A high-performance gel chromatography (HPGC) system has been developed which allows the unattended on-line determination of lipoprotein cholesterol distribution (VLDL-C, LDL-C, HDL-C), within 40 min, in microliter quantities of plasma using a single ...

A new subtype of artificial cell‐derived vesicles from dental pulp stem cells with the bioequivalence and higher acquisition efficiency compared to extracellular vesicles

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) have been shown an excellent efficacy in a variety of disease models. However, current production methods fail to meet the needs of clinical treatment.

General solution to the inverse problem of the differential equation of the ultracentrifuge.

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 1981
Whenever experimental data can be simulated according to a model of the physical process, values of physical parameters in the model can be determined from experimental data by use of a nonlinear least-squares algorithm.
