M2 Macrophage‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Reprogram Immature Neutrophils into Anxa1hi Neutrophils to Enhance Inflamed Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that M2‐EVs mitigate periodontitis‐induced bone resorption by modulating neutrophil fate. Single‐cell RNA sequencing identified an Anxa1hi neutrophil subpopulation with pro‐reparative properties. M2‐EVs disrupt neutrophil maturation, promoting this subpopulation through key reprogramming genes (Acvrl1, Fpr2). These findings highlight

A Dual Approach with Organoid and CRISPR Screening Reveals ERCC6 as a Determinant of Cisplatin Resistance in Osteosarcoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilizes patient‐derived osteosarcoma organoids and CRISPR screening to identify ERCC6 and HNRNPM as key mediators of cisplatin resistance via the PI3K/AKT pathway and BAX alternative splicing. These findings provide novel insights and potential therapeutic targets for overcoming chemoresistance in osteosarcoma.

Neutrophil Macrophage Crosstalk via Extracellular Vesicles Drives Reverse Migration in a Fully Human Model of Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel microphysiological system that can mimic sterile or non‐sterile injury demonstrates that macrophage‐derived extracellular vesicles modulate neutrophil migratory responses to these different wound states. The model showed that resolution of inflammation through neutrophil reverse migration is driven by IL‐8 derived from extracellular vesicles ...

Controlled Preparation of Nanoparticle Gradient Materials by Diffusion

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
Nanoparticle gradient materials combine a concentration gradient of nanoparticles with a macroscopic matrix. This way, specific properties of nanoscale matter can be transferred to bulk materials.

Kindlin Regulates Mechanosensitive Activation and Adhesion Assembly of Integrin beta6

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Extracellular matrix compliance plays a critical role in the regulation of integrin‐mediated adhesion and cell motility. Here, it is reported that strengthening the kindlin2‐integrin β6 interaction overcomes the dependence on extracellular substrate stiffness and promotes integrin β6‐mediated cell migration.

Bovine papillomavirus isolation by ultracentrifugation

open access: yesJournal of Virological Methods, 2014
The bovine papillomavirus (BPV) is the etiological agent of bovine papillomatosis, which causes significant economic losses to livestock, characterized by the presence of papillomas that regress spontaneously or persist and progress to malignancy. Currently, there are 13 types of BPVs described in the literature as well as 32 putative new types.

Transient Interdomain Interactions Modulate the Monomeric Structural Ensemble and Self‐Assembly of Huntingtin Exon 1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polyglutamine (polyQ) tract expansion (≥ 36 amino acids) within the N‐terminal region of the Huntingtin protein (Httex1) causes Huntington's disease (HD), for which the underlying causes are not well‐understood. The authors performed computer simulations to understand the cause of HD at the molecular level.
