Control of Molar Mass Distribution by Polymerization in the Analytical Ultracentrifuge.
Molar mass distributions are of high interest in macromolecular chemistry because they directly determine the physical and chemical properties of polymers.

Isolation of Ribosomal Particles from the Unicellular Cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 [PDF]
Isolation of ribosomal particles is an essential step in the study of ribosomal components as well as in the analysis of trans-acting factors that interact with the ribosome to regulate protein synthesis and modulate the expression profile of the cell ...

Heme oxygenase (HO) catalyzes heme degradation using electrons supplied by NADPH–cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase (CPR). Electrons from NADPH flow first to FAD, then to FMN, and finally to the heme in the redox partner.

Glycopeptide antibiotics are regularly used in ophthalmology to treat infections of Gram-positive bacteria. Aggregative interactions of antibiotics with mucins however can lead to long exposure and increases the risk of resistant species.

Molar mass and solution conformation of branched alpha(1 - 4), alpha(1 - 6) Glucans. Part I: Glycogens in water [PDF]
Solution molar masses and conformations of glycogens from different sources (rabbit, oyster, mussel and bovine) were analysed using sedimentation velocity in the analytical ultracentrifuge, size-exclusion chromatography coupled to multi-angle laser light

Bismuth ions are metabolized into autometallographic traceable bismuth-sulphur quantum dots
Bismuth – sulphur quantum dots can be silver enhanced by autometallography (AMG). In the present study, autometallographic silver enhanced bismuth-sulphur nanocrystals were isolated from unfixed cryo-sections of kidneys and livers of rats exposed to ...

Analytical ultracentrifugation of colloids
In this contribution the use of Analytical Ultracentrifugation (AUC) for the modern analysis of colloids is reviewed. Since AUC is a fractionation technique, distributions of the sedimentation coefficient, particle size and shape, molar mass and density can be obtained for particle sizes spanning the entire colloidal range.

Diffusion-Based Separation of Extracellular Vesicles by Nanoporous Membrane Chip
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have emerged as novel biomarkers and therapeutic material. However, the small size (~200 nm) of EVs makes efficient separation challenging.

Chemical analysis of soluble fractions from normal and autolysed rabbit liver by column chromatography [PDF]
Chromatography on Sephadex G-200 was performed with the soluble fraction of homogenated rabbit liver, which was extracted with 0.1 M phosphate buffer containing 0.1 M NaCl.
