Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Ultracompact Deep Neural Network for Ultrafast Optical Property Extraction in Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging (SFDI)

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
Spatial frequency domain imaging (SFDI) is a powerful, label-free imaging technique capable of the wide-field quantitative mapping of tissue optical properties and, subsequently, chromophore concentrations.

Propagation and active control of femtosecond plasmon pulses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Here we report on the ultrafast modulation of propagating fs SPP signal via direct optical excitation of the metal component of an aluminium/silica waveguide and investigate spectral dependence of the effect and its kinetics.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Experimental and theoretical evaluation of an ultrafast multihop packet-switched optical TDM network test bed

open access: yes, 1998
Just recently, a network that has integrated many optical time-division multiplexing (TDM) technologies such as 100-Gbits/s packet compression and ultrafast demultiplexing has been demonstrated.

Enhanced Terahertz Thermoelectricity Via Engineered Van Hove Singularities and Nernst Effect in Moiré Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Moiré band engineering in graphene/hexagonal boron nitride–based superlattices unlocks van Hove singularities (VHSs) for terahertz (THz) optoelectronics. Tuning the Fermi level near these singularities, associated with secondary neutrality points (SNPs), enhances the photothermoelectric response.

Emergent Topological Magnons and Thermal Hall Effect in 2D Filling‐Enforced Fully Compensated Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of ferroelectric‐intercalation‐driven transitions in magnetic configurations and magnonic topological phases, together with the symmetry relations of magnonic Berry curvature. ABSTRACT Magnons in collinear magnets with vanishing net magnetization offer unique advantages for spin transport, including ultrafast dynamics and ...
