The influential factors on very high cycle fatigue testing results

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
When the fatigue cycle is extended from high cycle (105~107) to very high cycle (107~109), the fatigue testing results will be more sensitive to the influential factors such as specimen size, specimen surface roughness and the inclusion size.

Extreme‐Temperature Resistant, Flexible, and Sensitive Strain Sensor for Aerospace Parachute Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
In this study, we report a resistive‐type strain sensor fabricated using single‐walled CNTs, are used layer using the pray technique to deposit as conductive, and UV‐resin was spin‐coated as a protection layer. The sensor functioned in harsh temperature variation conditions from −50°C to 125°C without deterioration.

Assessment of Fatigue Life and Failure Criteria in Ultrasonic Testing Through Thermal Analyses

open access: yesApplied Sciences
An experimental study was conducted to analyze temperature evolution during very high cycle fatigue tests. The temperature–number of cycles (T–N) curve is typically divided into three phases: Phase I—a rapid temperature increases at the start of the test,
