Ultrasonic density sensor for liquids

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2000
This paper presents an ultrasonic density sensor for liquids that unifies high accuracy with high durability and is suitable for on-line measurements in a wide range of tube diameters. The sensor consists of a transducer with a piezoceramic disk mounted between two reference rods of quartz glass.

An Ultrasonic Bladder-Volume Sensor

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1979
Loss of bladder sensation is a common clinical problem, particularly in diabetes mellitus. A pocket-size ultrasonic bladder-volume sensor has been constructed and tested with successful results. This paper describes the sensor and presents results from its use on healthy volunteers.

Binocular tracking with ultrasonic sensors

International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology, 2009
This paper proposes an Image-Based Visual Servo control (IBVS) method that integrates the kinematics of both a robotic binocular head and cameras with the dynamics of the binocular head and uses a fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm. The proposed method utilises ultrasonic sensors to supply distance information to the visual servo system.

Toward a versatile ultrasonic sensor

ETFA 2001. 8th International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8597), 2002
The use of mobile robots, still limited to specific applications, can be applied to service robotics such as assistance for the disabled, if efficient yet low-cost perception systems are available. A multiaural and multimodal ultrasonic device seems to be an appropriate means for achieving such a difficult compromise. In a multimodal perception system,

Scene analysis with ultrasonic sensors

2005 IEEE Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation, 2005
This paper presents some new work concentrated on methods and strategies to gain basic features for scene analysis, based on distance measurements with ultrasonic sensors. While in former works object classification is sometimes carried out with special sensor arrangements, our methods are based in principle on continuous movements of single sensors ...

Obstacle avoidance with ultrasonic sensors

IEEE Journal on Robotics and Automation, 1988
A mobile robot system, capable of performing various tasks for the physically disabled, has been developed. To avoid collision with unexpected obstacles, the mobile robot uses ultrasonic range finders for detection and mapping. The obstacle avoidance strategy used for this robot is described.

ULTRASONIC SENSORS

2019
Abstract. Ultrasound a research of the human body using ultrasound waves.Echo signals enter the amplifier and special reconstruction systems, while generatingradiation all the way that does not cause harm for a short time, but can causeproblems with fairly long and close contact with the device.

Infrared Sensors and Ultrasonic Sensors

2020
In addition to the environmentally-aware sensors that were introduced in the previous chapters, there are some sensors that are widely used in unmanned systems and everyday life. Among them, infrared detection sensors and ultrasonic sensors are also important sensing devices in unmanned systems.
