Impact Properties of the Ultrasonic Vibrating Grinding Wheel

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Precision Engineering, 1975
Thispaperdescribes somespecial impact properties of the grinding wheel which vibrates longitudinally in the frequency f= 28 kHz and the amplitude a = 0-6 μm. The vibration tensile stress σv is added to the nodal point of the vibrating wheel as the initial stress. The impact property of this vibrating wheel is examined by the Izod impact method.

Surface Properties of Ultrasonic Vibration-Assisted ELID Grinding ZTA Ceramics [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials, 2022
This study aimed to explore the evolution of surface properties of nanocomposite ceramics during ultrasonic vibration-assisted electrolytic in-process dressing (UVA-ELID) grinding. First, the trajectory of the grain was analyzed, and the motion was simulated using MATLAB to demonstrate the mechanism of UVA-ELID grinding. The critical grinding depth was

Effect of Ultrasonic Vibration in Micro-Route Grinding.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1994
The micro-route grinding system was developed for efficient micro-cutoff and micro-slotting of fine ceramics. However, because of the use of a very thin electroplated diamond quill, it has several problems in the machining performance : elastic deflection and fracture of the quill, and chipping and large cutoff-surface roughness.
