Design of an Ultrasonic Elliptic-Vibration Shoe and Its Performance in Ultrasonic Elliptic-Vibration-Shoe Centerless Grinding

open access: yesJSME International Journal Series C, 2004
We describe the design of an ultrasonic elliptic-vibration shoe and its performance in ultrasonic elliptic-vibration-shoe centerless grinding. First, the vibration modes of the shoe for the bending and longitudinal directions are discussed and determined from the point of view of fixing the support of the shoe.

Design of High‐Performance MnCo1.5Cu0.5O4 Spinel Contact Material with Optimized Electrical Conductivity and Thermal Stability for Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells by Cu Doping

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
Cu‐doped spinel MnCo1.5Cu0.5O4 exhibits excellent conductivity and stability as SOC contact material. After 1000‐h aging at 850 °C, the contact layer maintains a 10 mΩ cm2 ASR value, and a single‐cell stack achieves a H2O/CO2 co‐electrolysis power density of 0.52 W cm−2.

The Dimensional Revolution of Phosphorus: From Allotropicity to Battery System Applications

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
Phosphorus‐based materials are promising high‐capacity anodes classified by dimension (0D–3D) to systematically explore their properties and composite strategies. When combined with materials such as carbon to form heterostructures, the electrical conductivity and stability are effectively enhanced.

Engineering Nanoclay Edges to Construct Effective Polysulfide‐Trapping Interface for Markedly Enhanced Electrochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
A capsule‐shaped silicate clay (H‐ATP‐N2) rich in protonated edge hydroxyl groups (‐OH2+) is synthesized through a two‐step process involving microwave‐assisted acid treatment and N2 plasma etching to fibrous natural attapulgite. The H‐ATP‐N2 host inhibits the shuttle effect owing to the dominant adsorption mechanism–Lewis acid–base interaction between
