PTFE‐Activated Graphene Overcomes Dispersion Challenges for Scalable Solvent‐Free Fabrication of Ultra‐Thick, High‐Performance Cathodes in Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PTFE nanoparticle–anchored rGO (rGO@PTFE) for scalable solvent‐free fabrication of ultra‐thick, high‐density cathodes, achieving high conductivity (9.55 S cm−1), lithium transference (0.73), and improved wettability, is developed. The resulting cathode delivers 15.2 mAh cm−2 areal and 563 mAh cm−3 volumetric capacities, with full cells exhibiting 637 ...

Self‐Refreshing Bi‐Based Active Sites for Efficient and Durable Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐refreshing Bi‐based catalyst is developed through the fabrication of a novel basic bismuth nitrate pre‐catalyst, which exhibits differential active sites of Bi2O2CO3 at low potentials and metallic Bi phases at high potentials, self‐repairing capability, and thus wide‐potential‐window efficiency and ultralong durability toward electrochemical CO2

Cold Quad‐Modal Nanocomplex for Precise and Quantitative In Vivo Stem Cell Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multimodal albumin–bismuth sulfide–superparamagnetic iron oxide (ABS) nanocomplexes are developed for stem cell tracking across four different imaging modalities: MRI, MPI, MSOT, and CT. Combining its flexibility with high sensitivity, this quad‐modal imaging agent enables a robust quantification of ABS‐labeled stem cells in vivo.

Encoding Magnetic Anisotropies in Digital Light Processing 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid magnetic device—combining a coaxial coil within a nested Halbach array—is presented, integrated into a DLP 3D printer to enable spatially resolved magnetic field control. This system enables complex, multimodal responses by programming liquid crystal elastomer resins for magnetic and thermal actuation, and by inducing electrically conductive ...
