This study introduces a scalable and colored low‐emissivity (low‐e) paint achieved by spraying an ultrathin n‐doped poly(benzodifurandione) (n‐PBDF) coating onto various colored substrates. The low‐e paint enhances thermal regulation by reducing mid‐infrared thermal emissivity to 0.19, thereby stabilizing indoor temperatures across diverse climates ...

Optical-IUE observations of the gamma-ray loud BL Lacertae object S5 0716+714: data and interpretation [PDF]
We monitored the BL Lac object S5 0716+714 in the optical band during the period November 1994-April 1995, which includes the time of a gamma-ray observation by the Energetic Gamma Ray Experiment Telescope (EGRET) on February 14--28, 1995. The light curves in the R and B bands show fast fluctuations superimposed on longer timescale variations.

Could a nearby supernova explosion have caused a mass extinction?
We examine the possibility that a nearby supernova explosion could have caused one or more of the mass extinctions identified by palaeontologists.

The developed all‐organic solar cells achieve a power conversion efficiency of 8.7%, more than double the previous record. In addition, bioplastic substrates are used to produce environmentally friendly solar cells with an efficiency of 8.6%. These results are achieved by developing high‐performance organic electrodes without acid doping or high ...

Determining solar effects in Neptune’s atmosphere
The causes behind fluctuations in Neptune's brightness as observed from Earth have proved enigmatic. Here, Aplin and Harrison use photometric observations to show that solar ultraviolet radiation and galactic cosmic rays combined are responsible for the ...
