First Record of Ulva torta (Ulvales, Chlorophyta) in Korea

Environmental Biology Research, 2017
A marine ulvalean species (Chlorophyta) was collected from Imgok, which is located on the eastern coast of Korea. This species is morphologically characterized by distromatic, filiform to strap compressed or tubular thallus. Many branches were found near the base, but lacked proliferations.

A developmental mutation in Enteromorpha lingulata J. Ag. (Chlorophyta, Ulvales)

Phycologia, 1979
Abstract A mutation which appears only in the haploid female state and affects the early development of Enteromorpha lingulata by disorienting direction of cell division is described. The atypical spheroid thallus is the result of interaction between Mendelian and non-Mendelian or extrachromosomal factors.

Regeneration of plantlets fromEnteromorpha (Ulvales, Chlorophyta) protoplasts in axenic culture

Journal of Applied Phycology, 1991
High yields of protoplasts have been obtained from vegetative thalli of three species ofEnteromorpha by enzymatic degradation of the cell wall. Several commercial and crude enzymes prepared from the digestive system and hepatopancrease of abalone and top-shell were tested at different concentrations and combinations to evaluate the yield.

Diluted seawater promoted the green tide of Ulva prolifera (Chlorophyta, Ulvales)

Phycological Research, 2011
SUMMARYUlva prolifera (Müller) J. Agardh is the main causative species of the 2008 Yellow Sea green tide incident. We investigated the influences of diluted seawater on the vegetative growth and reproductive cell formation of the alga. The thalli that were cultivated under low salinities (10‰ and 20‰) and low pH values (pH around 7.0) showed obvious ...
