The transmission of unbalanced currents on shielded pair lines can be stopped by a double stub device called an unbalance squelcher. The unbalance squelcher, which is substantially a tandem bridge for unbalanced currents, reflects completely the unbalanced currents yet allows free passage of the balanced currents.

The aim of this paper is to provide a new method to compensate remaining unbalances at magnetic bearings. The compensating signal will be generated by a MLP-network. The main advantage that this new method presents lies in the simplified manner of operation rather than in a qualitative improvement of disturbance compensation.
