Risk of Non‐Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy in Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Patients Treated with GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) have demonstrated significant weight‐reducing effects and may offer benefits in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH); however, recent concerns about the risk of non‐arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) have emerged.

Evaluation of the Definitions of Voltage and Current Unbalance Factors

open access: yes, 2012

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Plug-in Electric Vehicle Collaborative Charging for Current Unbalance Minimization: Ant System Optimization Application

open access: yes, 2015
International audiencePlug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) are one of the solutions to reduce transportation dependency on oil. Nevertheless, uncoordinated charging in distribution low voltage (LV) networks can lead to local grid problems such as current ...

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Three phase state estimation techniques for network voltage unbalance assessment

open access: yes, 2018
Voltage unbalance is an important aspect of power quality. Unbalance can damage power equipment in a power system network, affect the operation of sensitive customer equipment and increase losses.

Clinical Impact of NOTCH3 Variant Location After First Stroke in CADASIL

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Despite its monogenic origin, Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy exhibits marked variability in clinical expression and severity. Variants in the NOTCH3 gene, within epidermal growth factor‐like repeat domains 1–6 or 7–34, are known to influence disease onset, but their impact ...

Analysis of the performance of three phase induction motor under supply source unbalance

open access: yes, 2018
Presence of voltage unbalance adversely affects the operation of three phase induction motors. Influence of unbalanced supply voltages on the adverse performance of the motor is intensified by the fact that a small unbalance in phase voltages can cause a

Impact of photovoltaic distributed generation on unbalance phenomenon in distribution feeder

open access: yes, 2018
In a smart grid environment, voltage sensitive composite load characteristics, poor voltage profile and rapid integration of distributed generation (DG) are imperative to compute reactive power status at the point of coupling (PCC) during each iteration ...

Screening Routine Clinical Notes for Epilepsy Surgery Candidates Using Large Language Models

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy surgery is severely underutilized despite proven efficacy, with substantial under‐referral of eligible patients in routine clinical practice. This study evaluated the potential role of large language models (LLMs) as decision‐support tools for screening unstructured clinical notes to identify epilepsy surgery candidates and ...
