Air Pollution and the Risk and Progression of Multiple Sclerosis: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Air pollution has been linked to several neurological conditions, including stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Evidence regarding its association with multiple sclerosis (MS) remains conflicting, limited by small sample sizes. Methods PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane controlled register of trials (CENTRAL) were searched on ...

Modeling and allocation of modern infrastructure deployment in LV European-type distribution systems for solving power quality issues

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Voltage magnitude limit violations (under/over-voltage), phase unbalance and occasional conductor overloads are among the most frequent and operationally critical problems in European low-voltage (LV) distribution networks, and their incidence is rising ...

Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of the Recurrence of Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is a disease with a potential for recurrence, and patients receive immunotherapy to prevent it. However, there is no consensus on the duration of immunotherapy. This study aimed to determine the recurrence rate and identify the risk factors for AE to provide guidance on the duration of immunotherapy ...

Diagnosis Method for Sparse Optimization Based on Multi-step Grid Search of Bearing Coupling Faults

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2022
Under the unbalance-bearing coupling fault of the rotor system, the unbalance fault features and bearing faults modulate each other, and the weak fault features are easily submerged by the strong fault features and strong noise components.

Sex Representation in US Stroke Clinical Trials: A Decade of Trends and Challenges

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stroke remains a major cause of disability and mortality in the US, with significant sex‐based disparities, and females remain underrepresented in stroke clinical trials. We aimed to examine sex representation in US‐based stroke clinical trials, identify trial characteristics associated with higher female enrollment (≥ 50%), and ...

Weave factor for seam slippage prediction of unbalance fabrics

open access: yes, 2011
In this article the seam slippage characteristics of unbalanced weave fabrics are analysed. The slippage resistance of yarns at a seam in woven fabrics is a very important factor, and strong claims have been made about this property. Preliminary investigations showed that balanced and unbalanced woven fabrics must be estimated differently.

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...
