A Novel Multi Stage Transformer for Compensating Unbalanced Loads

open access: yesWSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS AND CONTROL, 2020
In the proposed Load balancing transformer, two additional coupling winding are placed in the secondary of each phase. One of these coupling windings is in series with the winding of other phase and this combination of windings is reversely paralleled with the secondary winding of the third phase.

Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.

Several experimental realizations of symmetric phase-covariant quantum cloner of single-photon qubits

open access: yes, 2007
We compare several optical implementations of phase-covariant cloning machines. The experiments are based on copying of the polarization state of a single photon in bulk optics by special unbalanced beam splitter or by balanced beam splitter accompanied ...

Correlated Dual‐Gradient Electrodes Enabling Spatially Synchronized Sulfur Redox in High‐Mass‐Loading Li–S Batteries Under High Current Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Coupling a dual‐gradient carbonized framework with Fe2O3/Fe‐N‐C catalytic sites enables spatially synchronized sulfur redox across the entire electrode thickness in high‐mass‐loading Li–S batteries. This synergistic structural–catalytic design effectively mitigates concentration, ohmic, and electrochemical polarization, thereby achieving high‐capacity ...

Toward Energy Efficient Electrochemical Valorization of Waste Nitrate and Sulfide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces an integrated electrochemical strategy couples nitrate reduction with sulfide oxidation for energy‐efficient wastewater valorization. A Cu‐Co dual‑site catalyst, engineered for close proximity, promotes *NO2 relay and subsequently NH3 formation, enabling the system to operate at substantially reduced cell voltages and produce high ...

Reversing a granular flow on a vibratory conveyor

open access: yes, 2003
Experimental results are presented on the transport properties of granular materials on a vibratory conveyor. For circular oscillations of the shaking trough a non-monotonous dependence of the transport velocity on the normalized acceleration is observed.
