The paper studies the problem of sliding mode control design for linear evolution equations with incomplete and noisy measurements of the output and additive exogenous disturbances. The key result of the paper is an algorithm, generating an output-based feedback, which steers the state as close as possible to a given sliding hyperplane in a finite time.

Abstract The problem of optimal control for a class of non-linear objects with uncontrolled bounded disturbances is formulated in the sense of a differential game. The gas‐phase decomposition of Al(acac)3 is investigated under inert, oxygen, and water‐containing conditions. Water is found to promote selective ligand removal and suppress hydrocarbon formation, while oxygen induces faster, less selective decomposition pathways.
