SINE ENTROPY FOR UNCERTAIN VARIABLES
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2013Entropy is a measure of the uncertainty associated with a variable whose value cannot be exactly predicated. In uncertainty theory, it has been quantified so far by logarithmic entropy. However, logarithmic entropy sometimes fails to measure the uncertainty.

Convergence Theorems for Uncertain Variable Sequences
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2014For uncertain variable sequences, conditions of convergences such as Cauchy convergence in measure, convergence almost surely and convergence uniformly almost surely are given. Consequently, the relationships among convergences of uncertain variable sequences are shown. These results have not been proposed in literature so far.

Uncertain Variables in Decision Problems for Hybrid Uncertain Systems
18th International Conference on Systems Engineering (ICSEng'05), 2006The paper is concerned with the application of uncertain variables to complex uncertain systems containing elements with random parameters described by probability distributions and uncertain parameters described by certainty distributions given by an expert.

Partial entropy of uncertain random variables
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2017In this paper, we mainly propose a definition of partial entropy for uncertain random variables. In fact, partial entropy is a tool to characterize how much of entropy of an uncertain random variable belongs to the uncertain variable. Furthermore, some properties of partial quadratic entropy are investigated such as positive linearity.

The p-distance of uncertain variables
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2017In order to research the properties of distance for uncertain variables, we introduced a new concept of p-distance. Then the properties of nonnegativity, identification, symmetry, and triangle inequality for the p-distance of uncertain variables and uncertain vectors were obtained.

Uncertain Logics and Variables
2004In this chapter, we present basic theoretical foundations of uncertain variables — as a comparatively new tool for analysis and decision problems in uncertain systems [44, 46, 54]. The uncertain variable is described by a certainty distribution given by an expert and characterizing his or her knowledge on approximate values of the variable.
