Integration Scheme For A Thermo-Elasto-Plastic Model With Unconventional Yield Surfaces
2015An adaptive substepping explicit integration scheme with a novel loading-unloading decision method is developed here for the non-isothermal unified hardening (UH) model. The non-isothermal UH model includes a convex subloading surface in the p-q plane and a nonconvex subloading surface in the p-T plane.

Aluminium and copper monocrystals and also AlMg5 and AlCu4Zr alloys have been deformed by the cyclic extrusion compression method (CEC) in the range of true strains φ = 0.4 -14. It has been found, that about 50% of the volume fraction of aluminium alloys samples, deformed to the true strain φ = 14, shows features of nanostructure.

Toxicity concerns over bisphenol A (BPA) based materials like polycarbonates or diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (BADGE) lead to their progressive substitution in food packaging and can coating applications, even if the eventual release of BPA in food remains debatable.

Targeted molecular dynamics (TMD) simulations allowed for identifying the chemical/structural features of the nucleotide-competitive HIV-1 inhibitor DAVP-1, which is responsible for the disruption of the T-shape motif between Try183 and Trp229 of the reverse transcriptase (RT).

Unconventional Barrel Designs of Single-screw Plasticizing Systems
2017Extrusion is one of the most important processes in polymer processing technology, just next to injection molding. The first extruder was invented and patented in 1879 by Matthew Gray, which used Archimedes screw in its design [1]. Since that time, constantly work on improving the work of extruders was carried out, which are implemented in two ...
