Abstract Landscapes in humid climates often experience rapid chemical and mechanical weathering that can change groundwater fluxes, drainage pathways, and frictional strength via alterations in subsurface mineral composition and matrix porosity. These changes to hillslope critical zone structure and strength should control landslide susceptibility ...

Present‐Day Kinematics of Continental Greece and Balkans Revealed by Sentinel‐1 InSAR Data
Abstract The Balkan Peninsula hosts the highest seismic activity in Europe, marked by numerous Mw6+ earthquakes in diverse tectonic settings. Assessing tectonic surface deformation is crucial to understand the forces controlling kinematics and, ultimately, constraining geodynamic models. However, because measuring slow velocity rates (a few mm/yr) with

Wavefront sensing at a high‐repetition‐rate X‐ray free‐electron laser
We demonstrate a fast, robust and sensor‐free approach to X‐ray speckle tracking that enables shot‐to‐shot wavefront characterization at high‐repetition‐rate X‐ray free‐electron lasers. Our measurements reveal a hierarchy of wavefront fluctuations indicative of instabilities in the accelerator and beamline optics at the European XFEL.Wavefront ...

Mesocorticolimbic Dopamine‐Reward Tract Alterations and the ‘Dark Side’ of Methamphetamine Addiction
Nondrug rewards are commonly discounted, and the motivation to pursue healthful, drug‐free activities is often diminished in addiction. This study found that people with problematic methamphetamine‐use experience exhibited microstructural alterations in bundles of a mesocorticolimbic white‐matter tract implicated in reward processing.

Three sibling parasitoid wasps of the Cotesia inducta (Braconidae) complex attack ant‐associated lycaenid larvae in Japan. Species differ in host range, seasonal host use and feeding habitat. Differences in host‐feeding habitat may contribute to diversification within the Cotesia inducta complex. Abstract Approximately 75% of lycaenid butterfly species
