Highly flexible, foldable, and rollable microsupercapacitors on an ultrathin polyimide substrate with high power density. [PDF]
The design and functionality of extremely flexible, foldable, and rollable microsupercapacitors (MSCs) with in-plane interdigital electrodes that consist of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) networks on an ultrathin polyimide substrate are ...

The deformability of red blood cell is essential for smooth microcirculation. We propose a deformability index using a microfluidic platform with capillary‐like constrictions, based on the relationship between cell deformation and transit velocity through the constrictions. Its effectiveness and clinical potential have been demonstrated in applications

This work uses high‐temperature dilatometry to examine how the tramp elements Cu, Ni, and Sn affect the deformability of non‐metallic inclusions and matrix in quench‐and‐temper steel. Mg‐bearing inclusions deform less than Mg‐free ones. Copper lowers formability. Nickel increases deformability.

Cross-stream migration of a surfactant-laden deformable droplet in a Poiseuille flow
The motion of a viscous deformable droplet suspended in an unbounded Poiseuille flow in the presence of bulk-insoluble surfactants is studied analytically.

Schematic representation of the microfluidic platform with its advantages. Abstract A major challenge in pharmacology is the limited selectivity of therapeutic compounds toward specific tissues or cells. Drugs often distribute systemically before reaching the intended site of action, affecting nontarget cells and potentially reducing efficacy or ...

Determination of Chip Compression Ratio for the Orthogonal Cutting Process
The chip compression ratio is the most important characteristic of various machining processes with chip generation. This characteristic enables the determination of kinetic and other energy loads on the tool and the machined material.

Controllable deformation of silicon nanowires with strain up to 24% [PDF]
Fabricated silicon nanostructures demonstrate mechanical properties unlike their macroscopic counterparts. Here we use a force mediating polymer to controllably and reversibly deform silicon nanowires.

Abstact figure legend A panoramic 3D optical mapping system was developed, enabling imaging of action potential waves across the entire strongly deforming ventricular surface of beating isolated hearts. The system comprises 12 high‐speed cameras and a soccerball‐shaped imaging chamber with 48 light‐emitting diodes (LEDs).
