Stability Evaluation and Parametric Optimization of Coal‐Concrete Composite Bearing Systems Under Mine‐Water‐Induced Deterioration: Experiments and FEINN Analysis

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Mine‐water immersion tests reveal pronounced coal weakening (vs. minor concrete degradation), identifying coal pillars as the stability‐limiting component in composite dams. A coupled FEINN framework quantifies extreme‐pressure stability and ranks multi‐parameter designs via a normalized multi‐indicator scheme, enabling optimized dam configuration for ...

Market Consumption and Hidden Consumption: A Test for Substitutability [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we perform an empirical analysis on the relationship between private consumption and underground economy for the Italian case. We find that private market consumption and underground (or hidden) consumption may be defined as ”complementary ...

THE UNDERGROUND ECONOMY AND MONEY LAUNDERING, ECONOMICALLY DESTABILIZE FACTORS, BANKING BUT ALSO SOCIAL [PDF]

open access: yes
The desire of each of us is to earn as much money in good faith to achieve the goals which we intend to. But this depends on several factors, such as training, ability, experience and luck sometimes.

A Resilience‐Based Reward‐Penalty Scheme for Hardening Electricity Distribution Assets Against High‐Impact, Low‐Probability Disasters

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper introduces a novel resilience‐based reward‐penalty scheme (RPS) for electricity grids facing high‐impact, low‐probability (HILP) disasters. By modeling the costs of proactive asset immunization against reactive RPS penalties, our analysis conclusively demonstrates that long‐term investment in grid resilience is the more economically rational

NUMERICAL ANALYSES OF THE UNDERGROUND EXPLOITATION OF DIMENSION STONE

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 1996
Underground exploitation of dimension stone is spreading lately for three main reasons; economy, organisation and environment. Moreover, underground openings can be used for many purposes.

Recovery Factor of Pure Helium Injection in Depleted Gas Reservoirs and Its Influencing Factors

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This study employs compositional numerical simulation to systematically investigate the effects of injection rate, production rate, storage duration, and injection‐production scheme on pure helium recovery in depleted gas reservoirs. Low injection rates reduce viscous fingering while high production rates maximize near‐wellbore helium extraction ...

Techno‐Economic Analysis and Multi‐Objective Optimization of a Novel Combined Cooling and Power System Driven by Geothermal Source and Waste Heat From Data Center

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
A novel combined cooling and power generation system is proposed by integrating organic Rankine cycle (ORC) with an absorption heat transformer, which is driven by combining geothermal energy and data center's waste heat. The system using R601a yielded the best overall performance, achieving an exergy efficiency of 40.34% and an annual cost of 130.29 k$
