Widely Linear Adaptive Instantaneous Frequency Estimation in Vector Hydrophones
To solve the problem that the time-frequency resolution of Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) is constrained by the window length and the moving step of the short time window, and to utilize the merits of a widely linear method, a novel instantaneous ...

Weathering the storm: developments in the acoustic sensing of wind and rain [PDF]
An Acoustic Rain Gauge (ARG) analyses the underwater sound levels across a wide frequency range, classifies the observed spectrum according to likely source and then determines the local wind speed or rain rate as appropriate. Thispaper covers a trial on

Modified Green's Functions for Shallow Water Acoustic Wave Propagation [PDF]
This article presents an assessment of alternative forms of the Green’s function for boundary element simulations of acoustic wave propagation in shallow water. It is assumed that the problem is two-dimensional, the source of acoustic disturbance is time-

Macrophage‐based immunotherapy for solid tumors is limited by poor tracking of cell localization and persistence. This study introduces nanotagged macrophages enabling near‐infrared photoacoustic imaging for real‐time monitoring. IFNγ‐conjugated tags enhance antitumor polarization without harming viability.
