SU(7) Unification of SU(3)_C*SU(4)_W* U(1)_{B-L} [PDF]
We propose the SUSY SU(7) unification of the SU(3)_C* SU(4)_W* U(1)_{B-L} model. Such unification scenario has rich symmetry breaking chains in a five-dimensional orbifold.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

The limits of unification [PDF]
Current complex-feature based grammars use a single procedure---unification---for a multitude of purposes, among them, enforcing formal agreement between purely syntactic features. This paper presents evidence from several natural languages that unification---variable-matching combined with variable substitution---is the wrong mechanism for effecting ...

Legal Regulation of Foreign National's Labour in the EEU: Unification Issues
The Article problematizes the unification of the norms that regulate the cross-border employment in the Eurasian Economic Union. Analysis of the international agreements, comparison of the EEU members' legislation, as well as EEU acts specifies the ...

Representational unification in cognitive science: Is embodied cognition a unifying perspective? [PDF]
In this paper, we defend a novel, multidimensional account of representational unification, which we distinguish from integration. The dimensions of unity are simplicity, generality and scope, non-monstrosity, and systematization.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Language and communication are about the exchange of meaning. A key feature of understanding and producing language is the construction of complex meaning from more elementary semantic building blocks. The functional characteristics of this semantic unification process are revealed by studies using event related brain potentials.

Unification in the Description Logic EL
The Description Logic EL has recently drawn considerable attention since, on the one hand, important inference problems such as the subsumption problem are polynomial. On the other hand, EL is used to define large biomedical ontologies.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

There are many problems in mathematics that can be cast in terms of unification, meaning that a solution of the problem is a substitution that identifies two terms, either literally, or against a background theory of equivalence. In the context of logics, a unifier is a substitution under which a formula becomes derivable in the logic.
