Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Research on the harmonic currents rates for the exchanged energy of unified distributed power flow controller

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
The energy exchange between series and shunt converters is the basis for the powerful functioning of the unified distributed power flow controller, which can be realized through the 3rd harmonic current.

Generalized small-signal modelling of dual active bridge DC/DC converter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
this paper presents a novel generalised approach of the small-signal modelling of dual active bridge (DAB) DC/DC converter. The adopted analysis is based on a per-unit fundamental frequency representation of the DAB. The outcome of the proposed modelling

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

VOLTAGE AND POWER LOSS CONTROL IN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM USING UPFC

open access: yesElectrica, 2019
A simplified loop distribution system is taken as the object and the main reasons leading to the power loss in the feeder are analysed in this paper. According to the natural power distribution theory of the loop systems, the minimum power distribution ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
