Uniform Persistence in Functional Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1995
The authors obtain some criteria for uniform persistence in retarded functional differential equations that can represent population interaction models with time delay.

Uniform Persistence in Processes With Application to Nonautonomous Competitive Models

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2001
Here, the uniform persistence (permanence) for processes is discussed. A useful lemma is proved for the persistence of single species. It is then generalized to two competing species where sufficient conditions for the uniform persistence are derived.

Uniform Persistence and Global Attractivity in a Delayed Virus Dynamic Model with Apoptosis and Both Virus-to-Cell and Cell-to-Cell Infections

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, we study the global dynamics of a delayed virus dynamics model with apoptosis and both virus-to-cell and cell-to-cell infections. When the basic reproduction number R0>1, we obtain the uniform persistence of the model, and give some ...

Uniform persistence and periodic solutions for a discrete predator–prey system with delays

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2006
This paper deals with a class of discrete predator-prey systems with delay. A sufficient condition for the uniform persistence of the system is first shown, and then, if the coefficients in the system are periodic, the existence of a periodic solution based on the uniform persistence result is obtained by generalizing the Yoshizawa's theorem on the ...

Mathematical modelling and analysis of the adaptive dynamics in mosquito populations: uniform persistence of malaria infection [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Biology
International audienceAbstract In this work, we present a mathematical model for the spread of malaria, incorporating key factors such as human populations, mosquito behavior, and the mosquitoes’ plasticity and adaptation to control measures like ...

Robust uniform persistence in discrete and continuous nonautonomous systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2013
Abstract This is an extension of the work in Salceanu (2011) [14] to nonautonomous systems of difference and differential equations on the positive cone of R m that exhibit a positively invariant boundary hyperplane X . It is shown that when a compact subset of X , which attracts all orbits in X , is a robust uniform ...

Global dynamics of SVIR epidemic model with distributed delay and imperfect vaccine

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
In this research, we investigate an SVIR system with distributed delay. We first provide some preliminary results on the proprieties of the Volterra function and the well-posedness of the solution, also the existence of a global compact attractor denoted

Analysis of an age-structured dengue model with multiple strains and cross immunity

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2021
Dengue fever is a typical mosquito-borne infectious disease, and four strains of it are currently found. Clinical medical research has shown that the infected person can provide life-long immunity against the strain after recovering from infection with ...

Dynamical analysis of a reaction–diffusion mosquito-borne model in a spatially heterogeneous environment

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2023
In this article, we formulate and perform a strict analysis of a reaction–diffusion mosquito-borne disease model with total human populations stabilizing at H(x) in a spatially heterogeneous environment.
