Uniform and strict persistence in monotone skew-product semiflows with applications to non-autonomous Nicholson systems [PDF]
Producción CientíficaWe determine sufficient conditions for uniform and strict persistence in the case of skew-product semiflows generated by solutions of non-autonomous families of cooperative systems of ODEs or delay FDEs in terms of the principal ...

A mathematical model of malaria transmission in a periodic environment
In this paper, we present a mathematical model of malaria transmission dynamics with age structure for the vector population and a periodic biting rate of female anopheles mosquitoes.

Uniform weak implies uniform strong persistence for non-autonomous semiflows [PDF]
It is shown that, under two additional assumptions, uniformly weakly persistent semiflows are also uniformly strongly persistent even if they are non-autonomous. This result is applied to a time-heterogeneous model of S-I-R-S type for the spread of infectious childhood diseases.

ON THE PERSISTENCE OF SPATIAL ANALYTICITY FOR THE BEAM EQUATION [PDF]
Persistence of spatial analyticity is studied for solution of the beam equation utt + (m + Δ2) u + |u| p−1u = 0 on Rn × R. In particular, for a class of analytic initial data with a uniform radius of analyticity σ0, we obtain an asymptotic lower bound

Is uniform persistence a robust property in almost periodic models? A well-behaved family: almost periodic Nicholson systems [PDF]
Producción CientíficaUsing techniques of non-autonomous dynamical systems, we completely characterize the persistence properties of an almost periodic Nicholson system in terms of some numerically computable exponents.

Introduction Understanding of the natural history of apathy and its impact on patient function is limited. This study examines, in a large, national sample of Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients with long follow‐ups: (1) prevalence, incidence, and ...

Uniform persistence and almost periodic solutions of a nonautonomous patch occupancy model
In this paper, a nonlinear nonautonomous model in a rocky intertidal community is studied. The model is composed of two species in a rocky intertidal community and describes a patch occupancy with global dispersal of propagules and occupy each other by ...

Orthogonal persistence revisited
The social and economic importance of large bodies of programs and data that are potentially long-lived has attracted much attention in the commercial and research communities.

The word 'uniform' can be a noun, adjective, or verb. As a noun it relates to prescribed dress, often in occupational settings. As an adjective it relates the sameness between objects and thoughts. As a verb it means to make the same.
