Generating Random Segments from Non-Uniform Distributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We investigate the generation of random segments from non-uniform distributions, i.e. we aim at designing methods that generate random segments such that the density of these segments converges towards a target distribution as the number of segments ...

An Inverse Kinematics Solution for a Series-Parallel Hybrid Banana-Harvesting Robot Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
A series-parallel hybrid banana-harvesting robot was previously developed to pick bananas, with inverse kinematics intractable to an address. This paper investigates a deep reinforcement learning-based inverse kinematics solution to guide the banana ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Random pore structure and REV scale flow analysis of engine particulate filter based on LBM

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2020
In this article, lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is used to simulate the multi-scale flow characteristics of the engine particulate filter at the pore scale and the representative elementary volume (REV) scale, respectively. Four kinds of random wall-pore

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Symbolic Neutrosophic and Plithogenic Marshall-Olkin Type I Class of Distributions [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2023
In this paper we present the symbolic neutrosophic and plithogenic Marshall-Olkin type I class of distributions. We derive the formal form of the cumulative distribution function and probability density function of neutrosophic and plithogenic Marshall ...

Random Telegraph Noise Degradation Caused by Hot Carrier Injection in a 0.8 μm-Pitch 8.3Mpixel Stacked CMOS Image Sensor

open access: yesSensors, 2023
In this work, the degradation of the random telegraph noise (RTN) and the threshold voltage (Vt) shift of an 8.3Mpixel stacked CMOS image sensor (CIS) under hot carrier injection (HCI) stress are investigated. We report for the first time the significant

Bayesian Analysis of Sample Selection and Endogenous Switching Regression Models with Random Coefficients Via MCMC Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper develops a Bayesian method for estimating and testing the parameters of the endogenous switching regression model and sample selection models.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Bayesian optimization for conformer generation

open access: yesJournal of Cheminformatics, 2019
Generating low-energy molecular conformers is a key task for many areas of computational chemistry, molecular modeling and cheminformatics. Most current conformer generation methods primarily focus on generating geometrically diverse conformers rather ...
